Rogue Blight Meta Upgrades: Every Permanent Upgrade and What to Buy First

The full hub upgrade list in Rogue Blight — max HP, weapon slots, bonfire potion refills, gold recovery, shop stock, blacksmith points — with a buy order that works.

The Sanctuary hub, where permanent upgrades are bought between runs

Death is Rogue Blight’s default outcome early on, which is fine — because everything you buy at the hub survives it. This page lists every meta upgrade documented in launch footage, explains what each actually changes, and gives you a purchase order that several first-clear runs converged on independently.

The documented upgrade list

The menu is organized into pages — General, Map, Fortune, Stats & Defence, Attributes are the five visible in the hub’s Fortune Upgrades panel — and purchases spend a dedicated hub currency (the blue orb shown in The Sanctuary), not the gold you carry inside runs.

A buy order that keeps working

  1. Max HP (twice). Before anything fancy, survive the early floors you already reach.
  2. Base stats. Every future weapon gets better immediately.
  3. Left-hand weapon slot. It changes what the whole game offers you — shields in the off-hand, dual wield later.
  4. Bonfire upgrade + potion unlocks. Your runs suddenly have legs.
  5. Gold recovery. Once runs regularly bank 150+ gold.
  6. Statue bonus, blacksmith points. Steady account growth.
  7. Shop stock, map upgrades, event success. Quality-of-life scaling.
  8. Legendary chance, reroll availability, niche stat lines. Last — they multiply builds you already have.

How upgrades are priced

Upgrades spend the dedicated hub currency you bank from runs (shown as the blue orb in The Sanctuary’s resource bar), and prices climb with each rank — the Fortune panel shows early rows at single digits, blessing rerolls at 20, and players complain that stat ranks “cost a fortune” by rank ten. The practical rhythm most launch players settle into: one or two hub purchases per run, always the cheapest useful row, never saving for a single expensive slot while your runs stall.
