Rogue Blight Bosses: Every Boss Documented, Order and Rewards

All Rogue Blight bosses documented in the launch build — Gorilla, Wendigo, Lady Blight, the Jester, Three Shadows and the final mushroom sovereign — with rewards.

Rogue Blight is a run-based game, but its spine is a fixed cast of bosses. Launch footage has already documented most of them — some to death (the Wendigo has hours of attempts on camera), some only in passing. Here’s the roster, the order you’ll meet them, and what each leaves behind.

How bosses are structured

  • Each map floor funnels into a Boss node; the map legend marks it with a horned skull icon so you can see it coming.
  • Floors also carry mid-bosses — stronger than elites, weaker than floor bosses — usually occupying a choke-point fight partway through.
  • Bosses are pattern fights. Nearly every attack telegraphs with a long wind-up, and the intended loop is: die once while learning, win the retry. Combat Basics has the dash-timing rules that make retries work.

What bosses give you

  1. Boss Essence — crafting material the blacksmith turns into boss armor (each boss’s essence feeds its own set; the blacksmith dialogue and multiple crafting attempts are on camera). Details: Boss Essence & Armor.
  2. Permanent trophies — items like the Gorilla Skull grant stat bonuses (crit damage) that stay active even when the item is unequipped. Several players describe the trophy system as “the game’s real progression bar”.
  3. Progression unlocks — the Wendigo specifically widens the loot pool and adds a harder map tier, the anchor of the game’s New Game Plus-style loop.
  4. Bragging infrastructure — Steam leaderboards are a confirmed launch feature, and challenge maps feed them.

Before you pick a fight

Two loadout notes that show up in every boss-kill video: bring a shield you’ve practiced parrying with, and spend your gold before the door — blessings bought at the last shop outvalue banked gold you’ll lose on death. Then read the specific guide: Wendigo or Lady Blight to start.
